Located in western Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Pordenone is a vibrant and modern city that still preserves a historical and picturesque town center.

The ancient Contrada Maggiore is characterized by long porticoes and elegant frescoed palaces such as the Ricchieri Palace housing the city Art Museum, and the Town Hall building dating back to the 14th century.

The Cathedral is dedicated to St. Mark and its interior features precious frescoes and paintings by the most important Renaissance artist in Friuli, Giovanni Antonio de Sacchis, known as Il Pordenone.

From the Adam and Eve's bridge you can also admire the Noncello River Park, a true oasis of great environmental value in the heart of the city.

Crossing the lower planes of Friuli we'll then reach Sesto al Reghena, seat of an ancient Benedictine Abbey founded in the first half of the 8th century. The Abbey of Santa Maria in Silvis preserves a valuable monument (the Urn of St. Anastasia) dating back to the Lombard period and a marvellous cycle of allegorical frescoes.

The tour will end with a visit to the town of Valvasone, famous for having preserved the structure of an ancient medieval village dominated by a castle and surrounded by walls and a typical irrigation ditch.
