What better way to see the beautiful Friuli wine country than from a bike?

Considered one of the three premier wine regions of Italy, Friuli is widely regarded as the home of Italy’s best white and dessert wines such as the local “Tocai” Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and the rare Picolit along with some fine international varieties such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon and Pinot Grigio and some reds of excellent quality and taste such as Cabernet, Schiopettino, Refosco, Merlot and the rare Pignolo.

Departing from Cividale del Friuli, the capital of the Colli Orientali wine district, you'll pedal with a casual pace along quiet country roads and small rolling hills stopping occasionally along the way to enjoy the scenery and visit some of our favorite wineries which are all ideally located within a 10-15 km. radius from Cividale.

With short distances between wineries, our wine tours by bike can be enjoyed by young and old alike. We use Trekking / Hybrid style bikes which have a nice causal upright riding position, comfortable seats and are easy to pedal.

You can choose between a guided tour led by a knowledeable local guide or a self-guided tour supported by personalized tour routes and maps with recommendations for visits to leading estates and boutique wineries where you'll have the opportunity to chat with the winemaker, walk through the vineyards, learn more about the winemaking process and taste lots of wine!

This tour usually runs as a full-day tour. However, if your schedule doesn't allow you to have a full-day free, an abbreviated version of this tour is also available. You can choose between a morning (9.30 am) or an afternoon departure (2.00 pm) to suit your requirements.
